At Project28, we’ve always believed that structured data should lead to structured action. Our Micro Data Report (MDR) was created with that in mind, a single-page insight tool designed to clarify decisions, sharpen focus, and remove the noise.
But as part of our continued push to innovate, we recently asked a bold question:
What happens if we turn the MDR into an audio experience?
The result was Episode 1 of our new podcast—
“The Micro Data Report: Data that Drives Decisions”
This wasn’t just an audio summary. It was a narrative, entirely AI-generated, built from our strategy frameworks, process language, and insight structure.
Here’s how we made it, what we learned, and why we believe this type of content is the next evolution for digital agencies.
1. The Process: Structure Before Sound
We started with the raw asset: one of our internal Micro Data Reports used to onboard a client. From there, we applied our usual systems thinking (mind mapping).
a. Mapping the Narrative Flow
We began by dissecting the Micro Data Report into its essential components—inputs, insights, and outcomes. Using our internal mapping system, we translated these into a narrative logic that would work in audio form. This wasn’t a script, it was a strategy map, designed to carry a listener through a story of decision-making clarity.
b. Transforming Insight into Dialogue
With the structure in place, we ran it through one of our proprietary tools to generate a first-pass script. This is where the creative intelligence kicks in. While the exact mechanics are part of our internal workflow, the outcome was impressive: a conversational tone, clarity of message, and a logical flow that honored the depth of the original report without sounding robotic or forced.
c. Voicing with Dual-Dialect AI
The final step was layering two distinct AI narrators to simulate a real-time discussion. We encountered a few natural imperfections, some minor mispronunciations, a slip in pricing detail, but interestingly, the second voice instinctively corrected and reoriented the discussion. The result wasn’t just intelligible, it felt dynamic. The subtle interplay added a surprising level of realism and emotional cadence to the piece.
Surprisingly, the second AI voice corrected and re-centered the flow, making the final dialogue feel unexpectedly human. The tension between the voices, and the way one “pulled the other back on track,” was unscripted but incredibly compelling.
2. What We Learned
This wasn’t about perfection, it was about potential. And what we heard in the final product was something that genuinely surprised us:
a. The structure of the MDR translated seamlessly into audio narrative form.
b. Despite a few missteps, the dual-voice interplay added realism, like two strategists exploring a concept in real time.
c. The AI was able to maintain our tone, confident, inquisitive, and grounded in clarity.
Most importantly, it proved that structured content can be repurposed, across formats, platforms, and personas. One Micro Data Report can drive podcasts, visual assets, internal training tools, and thought leadership.
3. Why This Matters for Agencies
In a landscape flooded with noise, your value isn’t just what you deliver, it’s how you communicate the insight behind it. Turning an internal process into external content is no longer just a branding exercise. It’s a moat.
We believe more agencies should explore these AI-to-human workflows. Not because the tech is perfect, but because the thinking model is scalable. If your frameworks can be turned into stories, you’re no longer just a service provider, you’re a narrative engine.
This first episode reminded us of that.
We’ll keep refining the process. But even in this early experiment, the power was clear:
Structure creates clarity. And clarity creates connection.
